I am looking to purchase a second ac adapter for my Vaio SR. However, the 80 or so dollars Sony charges on their site seems to be ridiculous! Does anyone know of a site I can get a genuine ac adapter off of for cheap? I have looked on ebay but its hard to tell if i'm actually buying a SONY adapter. Thanks.

I am a little unsure of buying the non sony ac adapters. Have you had any experience with the aftermarket ones?

You probably should try to find it from Amazon.com or other reliable stores.

I would but I just don't think spending 80 bucks is necessary.. Probably costs them a dollar to make those things.

How much it costs them to build is irrelevant as what you want to pay for. Other than taking a chance on a 3rd party replacement, you are stuck with what Sony offers.

    cheers ...

I realize this. However, there are ways to find the same product for cheaper. Example: I was able to find the VGP-BMS77 Sony bluetooth mouse for 42 bucks and then use an 8 dollar coupon which made it 34 dollars. On Sony's site it is $99.99. I was just wondering if someone had found a site that had the adapters cheaper. That is all.

You might check the classifieds here at NBR. I know some people got the free sony mobility/productivity bundle and were selling the parts.
