This is what I remember from cleaning my brother's SR (may not be 100% accurate, but close):

sony video shared library - DON'T KNOW?
viao location utitility - DON'T KNOW?
    adobe flash - KEEP
adoble plugin - KEEP unless you want a different pdf reader
adobe reader - KEEP unless you want a different pdf reader
    battery check - DON'T KNOW?
java 2 runtime environment - KEEP if you use it, I don't so I'd remove it
    settings utility series - KEEP
sony video shared library - REMOVE
Vaio wallpaper contents- REMOVE unless you want them
vaio recovery center shortcuts & readme - REMOVE
    AoL software Suite- REMOVE
Vaio Documentation- KEEP, look it over
    Microsoft Works SE 9.0- REMOVE
Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Trial- REMOVE
    Media Center User Guide- REMOVE
    Vaio Music Box- REMOVE
    Napster Pre-install - REMOVE
    Oem Information Registry Settings- KEEP
Microsoft Windows Live OneCare- REMOVE, get better antivirus
Protector Suite QL (Upek)- KEEP, for fingerprint reader
    Vaio Media Plus- REMOVE
Vaio Movie Story- REMOVE, unless you want to make movies with vaio settings
    Vaio Survey- REMOVE
Vaio Wireless Wizard- REMOVE, or keep may be helpful
    WinDvd for Vaio- REMOVE
Windows Live Mail, Wirter and PhotoGallery- REMOVE, unless you use them
    Picture Motion Browser- REMOVE
    Click to Disc- REMOVE
Click to Disc Editor - REMOVE
Magic-i Visual Effects- REMOVE, play with first
    OpenMg Setup- REMOVE
    Px Engine- REMOVE
Roxio Easy Media Creator- REMOVE, unless you want it
    Vaio Mode Switch - KEEP
Vaio Original Function Settings Don't Know
Vaio recovery disc reminder - REMOVE
    Vaio Update - keep
Vaio Wallpaper settings tool - REMOVE, what is this needed for?
Webcam Companion 2 - REMOVE, but play with it first
Wireless Land Driver (intel) - KEEP, I think

of course keep all the stuff the original list said to. Or what would be way easier is to do a clean install and then re download drivers from Sony's website, trust me since cleaning my brothers SR took almost 3 hours and it still has like 50-60 processes running at any time (but I upgraded him to 4GB, so he is fine).

    I would keep

vaio power management (needed to use the battery care / long life function)

Protector Suite QL (Upek) needed if you use your fingerprint reader

WinDvd for Vaio for playing DVDs

Click to Disc (for ripping DVDs)

Roxio Easy Media Creator (creating disk images etc)

Vaio Mode Switch - for your mode switch to work

Just reinstall your OS and install the stuff you need, instead of spending way more wasted time trying to find out what to uninstall.
