Hello,
I have quite a few questions about the Sony SR that I hope you can answer for me.
1) What is the difference between the SR210 and SR290 models?
2) How much of a hit would battery life take if I choose the ATI 3470 over the Intel GMA. Should I just downgrade to the Intel GMA? Or would the performance of the laptop really suffer? If battery life is really really important to me, what should I do?
3) If I were to get the extended battery, then will it stick out of the bottom of the laptop, or will it fit neatly? Also, does it add a lot more weight? Or is the added weight just negligible?
4) For a budget of $1200-$1700, is the SR really my best choice?
Thanks so much!
Appreciate the help![]()

1) I dont think there are any major differences, just another name perhaps.
2) Battery life is decreased about 45min. But it is worth it if your gonna use GPU intensive programs.
3) Extended battery sticks out from what I hear and what I see (I visited the Sony Style store to check it out) Weight is prob not noticeable.
4) What do you want? As a user, Sony Vaio SR is definately one of the BEST for the price. But again, I cannot go further because I do not what you value.
