I've read a couple of threads where people have asked about display rotation, for example: External monitor with SZ120P, but there didn't appear to be any replies.
I'm wondering about the same thing, since NVRotate doesn't appear in the control panel on my SZ360, even with NVTweak installed.

There was a post with a picture of display rotation, but there were no specifics on how to get it to work.

    Thanks in advance.

Well I don't have an answer but your post looked lonely here so I thought I would at least compliment you on your effort via search. Good luck with finding your answer.

I just spent 95 minutes with Sony support--first via an internet chat, then on the phone with a second level support person for about an hour, then another 10 minutes with a third level support person. The last person told me that the my Sony VAIO VGN-FE770G is not capable of rotating the graphic display. I expect you might finally get the same answer regarding your Sony SZ.

Nowhere in the promotional literature or the VAIO documentation for my computer does it say that it does support rotation, so I have no reason to be particularly upset that it apparently cannot. It would have been nice if the first level support person could have definitively told me so...

The Intel support person I corresponded with regarding rotation said that the graphics hardware in the VAIO VGN-FE770G -- Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family -- does support rotation, but that capabilit may have been disabled by Sony.

Given the prevalence of Wide screen monitors and the usefulness of being able to rotate the display, is surprising that the capability has been disabled in this otherwise very capable notebook computer.

That's certainly a lot of effort you put into this. It is disappointing that monitor rotation is not possible, but to be honest, it's been a while since I've thought about it. Right now, I'm running an external at 1600x1200 and I find it's enough for what I'm doing.

Thanks for the update. I'm sorry you didn't get better news from tech support.
