    Hello,

Could someone please tell me if the build quality of the SZ 340 (non premium) feels OK? or will it fall apart?

and has the electric shock issue been fixed on the SZ 340?

    TIA

My SZ340 didn't have the electric current issue.

The build quality on my particular SZ340 was definitely not as solid as the build on my SZ360P, which replaced the 340 I had. The keyboard on my 340 was very poorly mounted (it actually bubbled up a bit in various places, which was pretty lame) and the LCD screen would make an electronic buzzing/humming sound whenever it was set to anything other than max brightness, or was running off of battery power.

The semi-crummy keyboard I could live with, but the LCD buzz drove me crazy. I am much happier with my 360, even though it does have the tingly palm-rest issue.

Sony has had many electric shock issues according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, just ask them per Freedom of Information.

The shock issue is fixed by getting a 3 prong power adapter. Call Sony and they will send one to you.
