Welp I been running 64 bit windows vista on my SZ740 for a while now and I still haven't found drivers for the camera yet

I noticed sony started releasing SR series and such with 64 bit windows. But the problem with using those drivers for my SZ is that when i download the Software from sony's website it tells me that this is not the correct model of Sony to install the drivers.

I even opened up the install file and did not click continue and tried to locate the drivers in the Windows Temp files but could not find it. Does anyone know of where I can find these drivers? it looks like the Drivers exists for 64 bit.. but I can not find a way to extract it out so that i could bring it to my Sony SZ series.

Thankyou. and I hope someone has found a way to steal these 64 bit drivers from these newer sonys.

    i tried this link:
    http://www.vaio-link.com/os/vista/64bit/

But the problem with that link is that its for the VGA-U series sonys and those are the super tiny notebooks. and The drivers did not work. I was hoping drivers from a 64 bit SR would work. because SR is very simular to the SZ.

You have a SZ7, so it must be a VCC7. I used the driver of vista 32bit and it works like a charm.

You learn something new everyday. A 32-bit driver can be installed and run on Vista x64! WOW.

Well, I guess I was wrong. It installs the driver but it doesn't work.
So, I did look for the driver, I modified the inf file sothat it can work even with the Camera Capture utility and Magic-i Visual Effects (not as good as x86 but it's OK):

Don't use the search driver function of Vista, You need to install it manually by choosing the inf file. At least, it works for me.
PS: Remove all old driver before updating
