I clean installed XP Pro onto my Sony sz today. I think everything is working fine except for the SigmaTel Audio driver. When I try to install the drifver I get the message:
"Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again".

I restart and run setup again and I get the same message. I tried manualy installing the drivers and I got some error about the device not functioning or something. There were items in the Device Manager under sound like Legacy Audio and Legacy Audio Codecs...The sound worked perfectly fine before this clean install.

After messing around under the Sound, video and game controllers device manager I have:
    Legacy Video Capture Devices
    Media Control Devices
    SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC
    SigmaTel High Definiton Audio CODEC
    Video Codecs

In the control panel under sound it says I have no audio devices.

    Can anyone help?
