I have an S series Vaio the Sony S-170 and i want to sell this to g4t the new SZ series laptop. Proble is there's no display at where i'm at?

    Questions:
    1. Are they the same form factor? Exactly? Variations?
    2. Size ie dimensiones
    3. Weight.
    4. Screen size and wide screen width
    5. How much can i sell my old S170 for. Its a 1.7 Dotahn, 512MB memory, dvd-writer, not X-brite and no Btooth
    thanks

They're very similar really. Some differences in the materials, but you can tell they are related. I think the biggest notable difference is the keyboard, which is pretty different.

Not sure if it helps you, but I sold my S360 for $850 a few months ago (1GB RAM, Pentium M 1.7 GHz, cd-rw/dvd-rom).

I think the S series is built better than the SZ series. The premium SZ models really are a bit lighter.

1.) They are not exactly the same form factor, both 13" widescreen but the SZ is a bit deeper and wider so it overall seems "bigger"

3.) The standard models are the same weight, the premium version come in at around 1.69kg so around 300g lighter.

4.) Screen size is the same

some how the S series felt more cramp when typing on.. I believe it didnt have a full size keyboard while the SZ does.
