    Sony SZ camera - how to get VGA?

    Hi

    The cam in the SZ models is supposed to be VGA but wherever I use it the pic is QVGA (320x240) in size and even pictures taken are QVGA. Any idea how to set it to VGA? A VGA image would be half the width of the screen, its clearly not.

    No SZ user ever tried to get the promised VGA res???

    Hi.
    You will get VGA (640x480)if you use sz camera in video mode. It will capture video with VGA format.Hope it help.

    That means you get VGA when you're taking videos and QVGA for stills? That's kinda stupid isn't it. The stills I've taken via the desktop/explorer are all QVGA as is the preview windows. Do I've to go through Movie Maker here???

    Nobody has an idea??? With the QVGA res the cam is kinda useless. I was not able to get a VGA still image out of it.

    How are you making adjustments to the cam, if any....as far as color/saturation/brightness etc.... Sony seems to include no software whatsoever for the cam that I can tell.
