    Hello all,
I was just wondering if any of you has had the same problem, and if there are any known fixes for this:

    - I recently purchased the SZ-480, along with a BOSE Companion 5 speakers. The audio is great - that is, if I don't play high resolution video along with it. Any DVDs, or highend videos (on / off the harddrive) would create crackling / popping / distortion in the audio, and only those types of media.

This does NOT happen when I play low-end videos (YouTube), mp3s, CDs, WAVs..etc.

This does NOT happen when I plug in the BOSE speakers into a different computer, playing the same high-end DVD / videos.

I have updated the laptop's BIOS.

There is no association with any electrical interferences (cell phones / microwaves / TVs.. etc).

Thus, I have come to believe that the USB ports on my Sony SZ-480 cannot handle USB audio.

    Any thoughts?
