    Hey

Im currently using the latest drivers from the sony site, but Im wondering if there are any other drivers that might improve things?

Ive been looking @ laptopvideo2go but was not sure if it would make a difference?

Well you can. But you lose the ability of the Fn Brightness control and SmartDimmer and maybe other things.

You would have to edit the INF file to include the additonal values for Mobile and custom resolutions. laptopvideo2go adds most but not the screen brightness controls for SZ.

So if your feeling brave you can fiddle around with the INF files to try get it working. If you really want to change go for the 158.19/158.22 drivers as i have heard some people getting better performance from these.

I wish Sony would update the SZ drivers for XP more often. :(

My experience has been that if the latest Sony driver for the Nvidia video is installed first (97.54), a subsequent installation of the 158.18 Vista driver and inf available on laptopvideo2go will preserve the Fn keys and brightness functions in the power scheme. This results even though the 158.18 driver removes the earlier driver. Avoid installing the Nvidia driver available on windows update if doing a clean install with the latest bios. For me it caused the screen to go blank.
