My brother got an SZ640E in December, and he has been having trouble with Vista ever since. I ordered the XP downgrade disk that sony distributes through qmedia.com for the SZ600 series computer. (I recently used these on my TZ150 with no problems).

When I load the downgrade CD's for the SZ600 series in his computer, a message comes up that reads "Cannot use this recovery disc for this computer. Confirm the model type." This computer is an SZ600 series computer, so there should be no problems. Could the fact that it was configured-to-order make a difference? Has anyone else had these problems.

    Thanks!
    Robert
