So, I have a problem here that I was hoping some of ya'll tech savvy people here might assist me in solving.

Thing is, the Sony Smart Network program has stopped functioning on my computer (SVZ, Win8 Pro x64) and I couldn't remove the program from "add/remove programs" in the windows control panel, as that returned an error message of OS not being supported by the uninstaller app... So, I deleted the folder with the program files (c:\program files\sony\sony smart network) but the bloody thing won't reinstall either. I run the installer from Sony and it says installation complete at the end, but that folder still doesn't exist. So, I now have no way of turning on my wifi, nor bluetooth, and thankfully wwan is enabled in "Sony Smart Network" prior to the up, so at least I have internet still.

    Any takes?

    Much appreciated....

    That's a known problem.
For me, the latest version never worked as reliable as the shipped one. I am running Ver 3.6.0.05180.
For installation, I used Uniextract (WUN mode) to extract the file, then installed it in Win7 compatibility setting.
    Everything running fine since.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up formatting and reinstalling Windows over the issue. Got the system up and running again, but no broadband as I had fogotten to pay the bill. Oh well. Running now without smart network software. Not as intuitive to go to "computer settings" and from there disable or enable wireless, but what the heck, at least it works... Now I just hope leshcat will release a gpudriver that works reliablyon win8, the current one ends up with the amd chip disabled after second reboot...

I am using Leshcat's 12.11 Beta 11, I could not update to later drivers as I don't have my PMD with me (working abroad atm). But it did all the switching to PMD and back without problems.
