Well my laptop (VGN-FE31H) has finally given me the dreaded DC power jack problem after two years, and so I need to replace it. I have got the service manual for it, so know how to dissemble it, and now need to find the right part (for the right price!! :D )
My question is: do you guys know of any reputable/cheap suppliers of Sony spare parts in the UK? I know I can buy the jack off ebay for a few quid but a) I can't solder worth a **** and b) I don't own a soldering iron. So I would rather buy the presoldered power jack with wiring harness aka A1186808A (PJ101).
Any help would be mucho appreciated. (as an aside I'm also going to be replacing the wireless card inside whilst I have it open, with a 4965AGN. If you have any experience of this I would be grateful to hear about it)
