Dont want to start a mass debat, but with the outing of Sonys spyware on there music CD's a few months back, has anyone came across any suspect files on there laptops that they think would be a good idea to get rid off

    Mass debates are fun ;-)

'netstat -o' is your friend. Although you may find Ethereal to be a better friend should you suffer from paranoia.

Seriously though - pissing off a few geeks with an ill-considered rootkit on some scuzzy chart cds is one hell of a world away from pissing off business customers with an ill-considered rootkit/spyware on a business grade laptop, especially when said laptop comes with (eg) a TPM module.

Then again, we do live in strange times.

    Chris.

Funny thing, the official Sony VAIO support forum requires registration with your VAIO serial number before you can read anything.
