Hey guys, I'm looking for a thin, powerful Sony notebook. I'm looking at 2 models:

    SVZ13114GXX - $1999 retail

    SVT13128CXS - $1299 retail

Do you guys honestly think the Z is worth the extra $700? Both are very similar computers. I like both very much, but I'm undecided. Let me know what you think.

ULV dualcore i7 vs standard voltage quadcore i7
    1366x768 vs 1920x1080
Single SSD vs Dual SSD in Raid 0
    1.6 Kg vs 1.2 Kg
1 battery vs 1 battery & optional sheet battery
No docking vs External graphics + port replicator + bluray burner possible

Spend the money and get the Z :) So much better, it's ridiculous to even consider the T as alternative. The S is a much better alternative but then I would still pick the Z.

Super thin, light, extreme performance, amazing display, ultimate carbon fiber piece of art!

The T is pretty underwhelming. I would highly recommend the S13P over anyone considering the T. It's much more powerful for roughly the same price, size, and weight.

The Z is in its own league, a different type of machine with only the new Retina Macbook Pro 13 being similar.

Thanks guy, looks like I'll get the S. I need to use windows for work, so that kinda rules out the Macbook Pro 13 Retina display.

I also considered the S, but it looks a little bulkier in the pics.

Why would your resolution to be getting an S? Pretty much everyone that replied said get the Z over the T and the S is better than the T but worse than the Z. Just seems odd to me how you got to that result without even posting your thoughts.

I would assume the $900 price difference has something to do with it :p

And I would say that T to S is a much bigger improvement than S to Z.

The S13 is about 3mm thicker and 0.2 lbs heavier than the T13, but MUCH more powerful. The better keyboard alone makes it worthwhile.

Sorry, that was a typo. I meant it looks like I'll get the Z,

anyone have any luck calling Sony directly and getting a discount for the Z. I'm sure they would be happy to discount it as its a 2K dollar notebook. I want to hear if anyone got a discount.
