I've been looking to get a T series vaio and upon my search I keep coming across vaio t series with an issue where when the laptop is bumped or moved the computer will freeze or restart. It seems to be a common issue, but I couldn't find any information on this forum. As far as I know the T's don't have any sort of HD shock protection. Does anybody know what the issue is with these laptops? any links for solutions?
thanks

The newer Vaio TXs with Core Solo processors have hard drive shock protection in them and I don't think its a widespread problem, only saw one auction of a Vaio T where the owner mentioned the issue you mentioned.

Thanks for the response, I guess I better just look for normal working laptops. How'd you get your tx750p for 550?

mataku, can you provide a link or two where they discuss about the freezing or reset issue? I am thinking of the T series too, but that would not be a good thing, consider they are $2k+

They're not that expensive. I'm talking about the T series, not the TX or TXN series. The T series is the older models. Unfortunately, I can't find the listings anymore. As i stated, the issue would be that when the laptop was moved or bumped, the it would freeze or restart. Not much more is said than that.

Here is one listing that mentions it:
