Its finally here! The next TZ serie will be TT.
Hope to get specs and prices soon. It suppose to hit europe in 3-4 weeks time.
-
OMG sony has made gravity defying laptop!
-
Great news. I hope I don't have to wait too long here in Canada.
-
SpaceCowboy1973 Notebook Enthusiast
It's a TZ, not a TT

Oops that maybe my mistake. since there was no source I supplied the link to b|lly's post.
Maybe b|lly can say where he got the information. -
He removed the link that was in his post...
-
Somehow this advert doesn't really tell you a lot.
And that comment is oone of those. So simple but you just have to smile.
Flying laptops indeed.
Do you think I could teach my SZ to do the same? Maybe ask it to fly around behind/next to me? -
I saw these ads a few months ago, that is definitely the TZ series. I'm wondering what their UX replacement will be like, its stated that new models are coming soon on PortableOne's website.
-
Let's wait to see what b|lly's source is.
As i said, it was my mistake to assume it was the ad. -
I did not see this ad before, the flying one. First time i see it, it looks rather lame
I got the info from my supplier, cant tell who, but I hope TT info will be up soon - actually its the only serie we are waiting for now (besides UX). -
Since all other models names are illogical, TT does makes sense
-
Hmmm...
I just thought, lets have a look in google.
All I got was Notebookreview... the Website with the add...
I also noticed something:
On my SZ's German (!!) keyboard T & Z are next to each other, thus it could be a typing error.
I don't know how many keyboards have this layout...
Just before people get overly excited. -
i bet it will be called TR
NR => NS
CR => CS
SZ => SR
TZ => TR -
Hm, makes sense.
But:
FZ -> FW
AR -> AW
or am I wrong there?
Sadly as far as I'm aware there is not predicting these companies. -
What ever it's called, I hope it will be 12".
-
Wow, great news!
Do we have any specs yet? -
been waiting to hear about this
-
Not really but I think it's safe to assume it has the Core 2 Duo SU9400 1.40GHz ULV CPU. Maybe an option for SL9400 1.86GHz.
-
You'll find out Monday what it's called and what it is.
-
Woohoo,
Great Nixon! I thought TZ was going to be replaced in October, but better like that. So I will finally decide which is going to be my next lappy...the Z or the TT.
-
I hope is not a netbook...
-
It's not. It's a notebook.
-
11" or 12" Nixon?
-
So the TZ's replacement will be announced on Monday then nixon? Same for the UX series?
I'm quite sure it will use the SU9300 and SU9400 processors and in Asia, the lower end models will have the Celeron 723 processor. The Celeron M has been an option on the Vaio T series in Asia. -
hopefully it will have dedicated graphics and the new intel integrated graphics kinda like the Asus N10
-
I see no reason why the name would not be TT, since I got the info from my supplier, who is linked directly to sony
But, sorry guys, no info today. As Nixon said, more to come on monday. -
Sony Why Must You Make Us Wait!!!
-
I have not heard anything about a UX replacement, so I don't know when we'll see one of those, if ever.
-
It looks like it will have the same 11.1" screen because this Vaio privacy filter is to work for the TZ and TT series.

wow great news
i feel nervous actually
looking forward to monday (though i guess that is tuesday for me hmmm) -
Is it me or does anyone else buy a Vaio and sells it a few months before the new series comes out? I have done that for the T,TXN,TZ, and now the TT? Im glad Vaios have nice resell values =)
-
It's just you
I cram all my old VAIOs into the back of the closet...none of them work anyway. -
Celeron models are only available in Japan.
-
lol, TT~?! at first, i think sony probably start to steal the letters from audi, lucky, thats just a typing mistake.
-
TT just sounds so unlike Sony. have you ever heard sony products called OO, MM or UU?
Sony should just abandon the name T already, after the massive TZ models recall. Fresh start with a new series and a new name. -
Never the t series has always been the creme de la creme of all of sony electronics. T series in the Vaio and camera lines they always bring something innovative and unique to the series abandoning that will lose all that brand equity it would make great business sense. I for one would like to see the T series carried on until we don't need computers no more ie AI and we wage a ware against the machines and human kind
-
^so the T1000 is really a sony?
-
no the transformers were
-
That laptop in the picture (for the privacy filter) does not look like a TZ.
It looks "CS alike"...
Just wondering if that could be your new "TT". -
That picture shown is of the S series, which came before the SZ and Z series. I do not know why they used that image.
-
Great work, guys. I have found out some more information on the FCC website. b|lly and Nixon were telling the truth! Check out the story we've compiled at Sony Insider.
Vaio TT Information
Spread the word! -
It will be interesting to see, what price tag it will get.
Dell E4200 is starting around 1200,-. -
I've seen that the prices for all the Vaio T series has ranged from close to $2000 to over $3000 for the highest end configs. I hope it can be lower though.
-
Dell always sell their products dirt cheap, because it's Dull...
you just can't expect SONY to sell their quality products as junk -
I assume you do not mean U.S dollars since the E4200 starts at $1999 in the U.S and the Vaio TT will start at the same pricepoint as well. Though for that price, the E4200 comes with a 64gb SSD standard whereas a Vaio at that price will come with a slow 1.8" 4200rpm HDD.

How is Dell selling that laptop without n-wireless or at least draft-n ??
-
Finally the TZ is updated! I am waiting this moment for the last year and a half...So at the end we have a hole new model instead of a simple Montevina refresh. My hopes are for blacklit keyboard, HDMI and of couse at least 8hrs of battery life.
-
according to engadget, its TT, and it might be announced monday
-
Well, they got the information from this thread. They don't get any information of their own, they just get tips from others and report on it.
