    Hi All,
My TX650p, which I loved, died this weekend, :-( so I have a TZ150 w/2Gig RAM on it's way this week. I wasn't as slick as most of you TZ owners and ordered the SSD configuration I decided on the more traditioinal one with a DVD since I do enjoy watching DVDs while I travel.

My question is since I don't have the SSD option with which to run Vista on would partitioning the single drive be an alternative option for me.

Also I wanted to check in with any TX owners who tried to replace the hard drive on the TX and had any issues with the system not functioning afterwards which is what happened to me. I, for starters was sent the wrong hard drive and when I was ready to install it, I'd already taken out the original one only to notice that the new one wasn't the correct one. So I put back the original one and when I pressed the power button nothing happened....

Anyway I'm looking forward to exploring the TZ when it arrives. :)

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Anna

I don't have the answer only the same question and more...as well
I too, wasn't as slick as most on this forum and before I realized what was the deal, I ordered the SSD/DVD version from Sony-USA.

    Hi Anna, yeah why not.

But do keep in mind that running Vista on a 4200 rpm drive is not a good idea. that is why I am looking into the SSD option.

So partitioning and making a dual boot envirnoment with XP and Vista would be a good solution.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm totally looking forward to a clean install of my TZ and maybe getting an express card for vista.
