Okay, Well...I have a Sony TX850 and I was wondering, is it possible to connect the laptop to the TV?

For entertainment purposes, like watching movies on the big screen without actually burning each movie =/

If so, what cable am I suppose to get and where can I get it?

    Thanks!

    There is a VGA port

I don't think any TV has VGA port so my answer is NO.

SZ has docking, docking has DVI, new TV has DVI, SZ can use on TV.

Seriously. A lot of new HDTV's have VGA built into them, so you'd be good that way. Otherwise you'd need to buy a VGA converter box (not cheap, but not expensive) to make it work with the TX. It's not like DVDR's are expensive these days.

Hmm...It's cause I want to watch some movies on TV without burning them...don't like wasting DVD-R's even thought it's cheap, it's just one less thing to do..

What exactly is a VGA converter box and how does it work exactly?

    Thanks!

Just an FYI, the highest resolution my TX750 can output to my HDTV is 1600x1050 (a weird resolution) so 1080p will is out of the question. However, 1680x1050 works fine on my LCD monitor, so I don't know what is going on here.
