Ok, I was wondering if anyone knows some 'truth' on how to save battery on TZ.

I am currently using RMClock on Windows XP. Curerntly it seems to work great. However, I am not too sure about the exact settings used in RMClock, I could not find much of info in their websites+forums as they do not include a user-manual.

    My question is rather simple.
Anyway to 'turn off' 2nd CPU ? or any suggestions on maximizing battery life?

My current battery save mode is running both CPU at about 0.66Ghz (less than half), the battery states about 10hours (Im using the biggest battery, BPX-11).
And I can play movies, use small programs fine. so I am even thinking that I could further benefit if I manage to turn the other CPU off....

    Any suggestions ?? thanks

You understand that you only have one CPU, correct? It's just a CPU with two cores. Also, to get better battery life it's probably more efficient to look into undervolting rather than shutting down one core.

odin243, this Sony TZ CPU is ULV Duo 2 Core 1.2Ghz. (U7600)

I am currently under-volting my CPU as well :p. originally 0.9v full,
and for max-battery mode, I set to 0.875v (the lowest I can get).

well, I suppose leaving 2nd core on as well is ok, too. But I read somewhere that it is possible to turn off other core in the BIOS setting. Im not too sure.
