Does anyone happen to know if the 2GB limit that Sony puts on the TZ series is a real limitation, or if 4GB SODIMM's can be installed when they come out (haven't seen any yet)...

I know this sounds like a stupid question...
But I'm trying to understand if perhaps some news site reported anything about this and I missed it...

This is not a stupid question at all!

The U7600 processor does not use the same chipset as other computers that can use 4GB. The maximum the chipset can handle is 2GB, just like my D430 and John Ratsey's G11.

You can use 2GB SODIMMs in each slot (or one slot if that is all you have), but you'll only have 2GB in the OS.
