First I apologize for the silly question, but I'm a novice. That said I have a new Sony TZ185N, ( which by the way is a great notebook for travelling) but for some strange reason, and alarm keeps going off, which sounds like church bells rining. Can anyone tell me how to turn this off?

    Thanks for your patience

Does the alarm go off continously from the moment the system is turned on, or only when Windows starts, or after you do a particular action in Windows? Specifics can probably help narrow down what you're dealing with.

The alarm goes off differnt times of the day, and 4 or 5 times a day, for example, it went off at 9:00AM, then again at 9:30AM etc etc yesterday

My TZ has done this at ramdom times as well, it's weird I never thought it might be an alarm as well, its the same sound it makes when a download is complete (well the XP download complete sound) over and over again, ugh its annoying.
