The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Sony TZ bloatware removal Vista

    I used to be a UX series owner and found out that to remove the bloatware from sony you could press ctrl+alt+del when the system is in the final stage of recovery (installing all trial things, etc) and end a process (i forget the name). I imagine this should work for all Vaios and was wondering if it would work for the TZ if anyone has tried it. Thanks.

    Read the long thread for doing a "semi-clean" install. There are complete instructions there that include this step.
