    Hi,

I recently cracked the screen on my TZ and am now resigned to having to repair it myself. Tracking down a replacement hasn't been too hard - though the prices vary immensely - but finding instructions is another matter.

Has anyone tried removing the existing screen, or know of a guide that explains how to remove the LCD? I'm guessing the little rubber pads play a part, but it's pretty hard to see how it's done.

    Thanks,

    TT

Here's a general guide for LCD screen removal. The screws are hidden beneath the rubber pads so you'll have to remove them.

    TT,

I too cracked my screen - can I ask where you ended up getting a replacement from, which part # and what cost?

    Thanks,
    Avi

Mine was on the floor and I stood on it. You should really avoid doing that.

Thanks, this might be helpful, I'm not sure. From what I can see you need to run your fingernail around the edge and pry off the plastic front. Maybe there are some screws underneath. I haven't been brave enough to go that far yet.

I don't think the little rubber tags come off.

A disassembly guide would be very handy - for all of us, I'm sure.

TT - any luck with the screen replacement? When I got the replacement screen the shop said it didn't fit my TZ90 (apparantly used different connectors) so now I'm trying to track down the right screen.
