Has anyone done the trade up program that sony offers? My cousin has 2 older model Dell Inspirons and wants to get rid of them. Any advice on this program?

    Thanks!

Sony gives you very little money. With a bit of effort, you/he can sell the laptops for a lot more. If you live in a big city, Craigslist may be a good place to sell. If you just want to get rid of them easily, however, and don't want to bother selling them, go for it.

I think he's talking about Sony's Trade Up and Go Pro 2 program, where you can trade in an old Dell for $500 if you buy one of their BX series.

Oh my bad, I thought it was this thing where they'll give you a whopping $454 for a Centrino Sony notebook with a PM processor! $500 minimum on the trade-up program is not bad at all. So nevermind! :)
