I'm seriously tempted by the UX as the price has really dropped seriously here. However my main concerns are the keyboard and the lack of hard drive space - while I love the idea of SSD, from the reviews I've read with Vista and the recovery partition you're left with just 9GB of data.

The obvious plan would be to pop XP on and get the recovery data off however I have to admit I've never had much luck clean installing the OS on Vaio PCs. Even then, space is still a bit limited - I'm curious if anyone else has gone back to XP and how smooth they've found it? There's also the option of whacking an 8GB CF card in but potentially annoying as I plan to use the UX for backing CF cards from cameras. Could use a usb 2.5in drive but that limits the portability somewhat.

Every review seems to complain about the keyboard although reviewers tend to have limited time with devices, how do people find the keyboard, fairly useless or usable in time?

I currently use a TX1 and XPS M1710 which both suit their purpose well, looking for the UX to more take the place of an Archos 504 160GB - good device and handy for backing up data but it's slow when browsing/managing pictures and has no raw support.

    Any thoughts appreciated,
    John
