I am planning on purchasing the A-190 and I was wondering if it can, play the next-gen games well. Also if it will be able to play games 2-3 years down the road well. Answers will be much appreaciated. Also keep in mind I plan to take this to college, and use it there too. Please tell me if .I am making a mistake or a smart decision.

im not sure there are any laptops which can guarentee to play games well 2 - 3 years down the line.... i had to wait this long to get a laptop which can play fs2004 (released last year) even reasonably (though flight sims are notoriously processor heavy).

in general, i still favour consoles for gaming... eg try and get ninja gaiden to play on a pc!!

still, the a-190 is a great machine, and the screen is the best i have ever seen... im really happy with mine!! but i dont think any laptop today will compare that well with one in 3 years.

Well I'm pretty sure an Alienware or a sager can play games in 2-3 years. They're the real deal.

A Sony A 190 is really a great machine. It is a good decision if your going to purchase one. I've been using sony notebooks for the past 5 years and I currently have a X505, so far I am very much satisfied with the pc.
