Hey guys, first time I ever posted here. Long story short, I borrowed my mum's VAIO and it worked fine. Turn it on today and there is no backlight. I recently replaced the screen after she cracked it and now 4 months later there is no backlight. When I turn it on it it boots fine, but to see the screen you have to shine a bright light at it. Model number is PCG71211w or it says VPCEB46FG on the front (not sure which is relevant). I am pretty much computer illiterate, but not absolutely useless lol and can usually wrap my head around most things once i know what I have to do. Please help me, any help would be GREATLY appreciated

My suggestion, open your laptop, remove motherboard, use a multimeter to check F16 (if exist) fuse near the fan.
