My friend has this kind of laptop, and I want to know the specs. I've googled it, but I only see ads for it's scrap parts. I don't want to dismantle it, since I don't have enough experience of laptop "surgery". The only way that I knew about the computer's type is by looking at the factory sticker underneath the laptop. Do you guys know about it's specs?

I only know that it has 1GB RAM in it. I mean, my friend bought this laptop for about $1K ~2 years ago. Nowdays, computers that cost that much have 2GB RAM in it.

Yeah. It probably isn't there anymore since it IS 2 years old. I just wanted to know the specs, that's all.

where can see this model number .It's from the buttom or infront. Because if it's from the buttom that factory model number check infront that will be the model name. Provide me the service tag or the serial number so i can check for the exact model number of your computer.serial number start 28 or 29 its 15 to 16 digits long .

Hey Babydarklord. I can barely understand you. Please use proper English. I only understood that the sticker underneath is from the factory, which I have already stated before.

You've got an FJ200 series notebook. What Babydarklord was trying to say is that you gave everyone the service tag code name for the machine. Your actual model number is on the bezel (the plastic part that goes around the screen) and will be VGN-FJ2xx or something similar.

From there looking up your specs and such will be a piece of cake.

For anyone else in this predicament - When you see a code like the PCG-7K1L or something similar - paste it into esupport.sony.com's search for model and you'll get the correct model from there. That's what I do.
