I just bought a Sony VAIO S series.
Its using Intel P-M 750 (1.83ghz)
With Nvidia Go 6400 Turbo 128mb
Ram: DDR2 512mb + 256mb = 768mb total
I have tested it with 3Dmark01,03,05 ....
CS 1.6 , Need For Speed: MW ...etc...all passed
No problem at all.
But
Here comes the problem....on Half Life 2, or CS: source.
After loaded into Half Life 2 interface. (Not in Game yet)
My system turns into Blue Screen of Death.
I m guessing all the Source Engined Games will have same
problem on Sony VAIO S5 series.
In that BlueScreen of Death ....
The last line is something like "nv4_disp error blah blah blah....
Just wondering, what is wrong with it ?
and
Does it happen to people who own a Lappy with Nvidia Go 6400 Turbo 128mb ?
Or its just me ? if so, May I ask for some help ?
Really Appreciate !! Thanks!!

I've had the same problem, it seems to be an issue with the Sony Driver of the GEforce 6400. There are two ways to fix it:
Either you upgrade your video driver, see www.laptopvideo2go.com
Or you change the settings in Steam so the games start in window and not fullscreen mode. you can later maximize the window without a problem.
For more detailed instructions/information see http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=30932&highlight=Counterstrike -
I have seen this in another thread. It turned out to be a memory problem. Try removing your 256Mb upgrade and then run HL2. It seems that if you don't upgrade with the same size memory (i.e another 512Mb in your case) it causes problems in some games.
I have an S5XP (UK version). This came with 1Gb and I added another 1Gb. I run HL2 with no problems. -
Hmmm.... I have 512MB original memory in my S560 and I added another 1GB third-party memory. I can run HL 2 just fine. I downloaded the demo from Steam (Valve's online service). Maybe the full version somehow has the problem? I also play F.E.A.R. and I have no problems.
