I have a Sony VAIO SZ640 and installed Vista 64-bit. There are 2 things that I have not gotten to work yet.
    1. Bluetooth
    2. Web Cam

    Bluetooth
First I installed the x64 version of the Toshiba x64 Bluetooth driver provided in a link in this forum. It installed OK - no error messages. I see the bluetooth light is on (next to WLAN and HDD lights). I tried to pair my Logitech V270 mouse and it doesn't find it. I "Start Bluetooth" command on the bluetooth taskbar icon and it'll say something about putting my device in discovery mode and click OK. I do that, and it never finds it. I tried paring my Motorola Q and it doesn't find that either.

Then I tried to install the Widcomm 5 driver i read about in: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=43865. I follow the instructions there but when I turn on Bluetooth (using the Wireless button on the laptop) it never prompts me to install new drivers.

I look inside Device Manager but I don't see anything about Bluetooth. I have 2 'unknown devices' and missing drivers for 'mass storage controller' and 'ugx'

Also, I uninstalled the SmartWi program. I get this really annoying run-time error with it. Something about the .NET framework and JIT.

    Webcam
This is not as critical - but my webcam doesn't work either. I requested a hotfix I found on Microsoft knowledge base that might solve it.

I think these are the only 2 devices that I haven't got to work.

Anyone have any luck getting their VAIO SZ* with 64-bit Vista to work?

I've looked all over the Internet and even tried getting Sony support to help me but their official stance is that they don't support 64-bit yet so I guess we're both out of luck on this one.

We should probably have been more careful in choosing a laptop. We should probably have gone with a company that does support 64-bit like HP or Dell? Then again, I think Dell's just feel like they're built really cheaply so I never really liked them, except their early days before they became mainstream (when they used gamer-level components).

Yep - I gave up and just put Vista32 back on it. Lost a gig of RAM, oh well, got the webcam, bluetooth, and fingerprint device working.
