I just got a loaded HP dv2700, but I am thinking about getting something smaller and lighter. One laptop that has caught my attention is the Sony VAIO SZ740N4. Specs are close enough. However, there are two issues that I would like to know - heat/noise, and battery life. From reading around here, there seems to be a lot of people that have complained about the heat and noise from the older SZ series laptops. Are the 7 series any better, with Penryn CPUs, etc?

Also, how is the battery life on these? I would like to be able to get honest 3 hours minimum...

    Thanks!

The SZ should give you at least about 4-5 hours, unless you're running on speed mode, which should then give you around 3 hours.

shagun, plz post a new topic; it's against the rules to my knowledge to ask a question completely unrelated to the actual topic itself.

but to answer your question, just try reinstalling the drivers.
