Like many other forum users, I was very frustrated that Sony's Learning Center and Sonystyle didn't have any info on the SZ2xx series. After researching extensively around the web, sony's eSupport and forums, I have managed to find out the exact specs for the Sony VAIO VGN SZ2xx Series (USA models, except the VGN-SZ240, which is customizable).
I zippped and updated the pdf files with the marketing specs to http://rapidshare.de/files/23139662/Vaio_VGN_SZ_Series.zip.html. Download and take a look.

Regarding the difference between the SZ1xx series and the SZ2xx series, I have been told by SonyStyle that the SZ1xx series is going to be discontinued. Besides that, I posted two questions to Sony Support regarding their differences and the answers are pasted below.

    E-mail 1:
Question: differences between SZ140 and SZ240.
Reply: "I apologize for the delay in reply. In regard to your pre-purchase question, the only major difference in the SZ140 and SZ240 is that the SZ240 has the Black Magnesium casing and the SZ140 has the Charcoal Carbon casing. Currently the SZ140 is not offered with the camera and must be configured to have the fingerprint scanner."

    E-mail 2:
Question: why can't I add the Camera/Bluetooth accessory to the SZ140?
Reply: "In regard to your question, the built in camera on the SZ140 notebooks is not available because it is no longer being manufactured. I do apologize."

I am planning on buying the model SZ220/B in the next month or so.

Hope this info can be useful to those who are as confused as I was. Bye.
