    Hello.
I am attempting to rebuild a Sony VPC SE-series laptop. It will not start up.
The model is a VPC SE17GG.
It is the standard SE configuration with a fingerprint reader built into the trackpad.
It has 4GB of RAM on the M/B.
I have tried both a standard 640GB HDD and a 890GB SSD attached; no difference.
I have tried the startup with and without the battery, using the Sony PSU; no difference.
Attaching the power supply with the battery installed does light the charging indicator.
In examining the insides, all the ribbon cabling and lines appear to be attached in the appropriate places.
When the startup button is pressed, nothing happens; no HDD or CD/DVD spin-up, no fan startup, no screen activity.

    Any suggestions ?
