How bad does it feel to go and pay a brand of laptop like SONY - where you hope for some building quality, and realize it has a broken VGA port?

A year ago when I bought my first external monitor, a brand new Samsung HD thing, I went and connected it with the provided VGA cable. Something was off. Text fuzzy, colors off, flickering from certain angles; I thought "it must be cause the cable can't support this resolution" - "I'll try HDMI". And HDMI worked,

Some days ago I was given a new LCD monitor from work which didn't have HDMI but only DVI + VGA outputs. As I don't have DVI I decided to use the VGA one- > same problem!
I asked for a DVI/HDMI converter, switched to HDMI and again problem solved.

Of course now that I'd like to use 2 external monitors (easy if you mod a bi your vga cable) I can't cause of the crappy VGA quality that's giving me a headache.

So the thing is; the VGA output is broken. I googled a bit around and it seems lots of people have the same problem, on many different models. So that for me ends my road with SONY. (I also had an LCD TV which I sold for an LG one)
