hello everyone, tried to do a fresh install of windows 7 ultimate on this model vaio.

i followed the instructions via sony. (link is below)

Sony eSupport - Electronics - Support Information

when i installed the drivers, but then i get a message from windows saying that the install did not complete properly reinstall or say that its been installed correctly. So i click on reinstall and then windows 7 say this driver is only valid with vista.

Also i'm losing some functionality with the keyboard, i can increase and decrease the volume however, no other function works. ie: changing the brightness and the buttons above the keypad.

one more thing, i put my battery in from the fresh install and now i'm getting battery is not compatible with laptop going into hibernate mode and put your battery in again. Now i'm not that tech stupid i know how to put in a battery properly and lock it. Just no idea what the problem with that is.

Anyways, any help would be appreciated, or any other instructions on how to do a fresh install of win7 ultimate on this laptop would be great.

    thanks. appreciate it.
