    Hi guys,
I'm planning to buy Sony VAIO F, should I buy Sony VAIO VPCF233FX now or wait for a while?
Will be any new releases of VAIO F in next summer?
Any ideas or rumor about new specification despite of Windows 8?

I can't give you any advice on when you should by this model, but I just know I'm really liking mine. Had it not quite a month now. Bought on Amazon, under 1100.00 with a stick of Corsair 4GB mem to max this laptop out to 8 GB.

It's got a beautiful screen, everything seems to work well, plays games and bluray movies as it should. I just really like the back lit KB and one reason why I chose this Sony over a a few others (brands) I was looking at.

I just bought a VPCF232FX from Amazon last week for $656 from Amazon.
BEST computer I have ever bought for $600.
I added 16GB of Ram for $70 through Amazon also and couldn't be happier.

I have VPCF2190X for over a year, it was great when I bought it, but now I feel system is hanging and getting slow, I full formatted my VAIO many times, scanned for viruses and Trojans, but hanging persists, so I decided to sell it and buy a new one, that's why I'm asking whether if should I wait until summer for new models or no need.

I own the 2190X and it still runs fine; not sure what happened to yours. It was mentioned somewhere on here that the F would not be receiving a redesign this year, so at most we may just see new internals (CPU, GPU) but should expect it to just be another F2.

How did you add 16 GB of RAM when it says 8GB Max? Either way at 656 that's a good price. Almost 50% off. If the 232 is within a couple hundred bucks of the 233, the 233 is well worth it. The GT540M Nvidia is twice the video chip of the GT520M

That is my ONLY regret from this laptop was the 520m chip.
But I don't play games and from what I have been doing with the laptop the 520 hasn't had any issues at all.
I just put in 2 8gb sticks of Ram to get 16GB of RAM. :D

You can get the best deal on the VPC234FX right now on Amazon, it's cheaper than the 233, comes with 6GB memory. Everything else is the same.
