    Hi All,

Been a long time lurker of Notebook Review, finally made an account as I haven't been able to find the information I need for once!

As the title suggests I have a VAIO VPCSB1X9E, but I never made the recovery disks/USB and I setup the laptop with an SSD and got rid of the old HDD, so in place I lost the recovery partition. Looked in the SA/SB etc owners thread but that is now locked unfortunately!

Is there anyone out there that has the original HDD or made their own recovery disks or USB for this model? I think there are other models that use the same "recovery setup" list is as follows (not sure if this true but maybe someone can enlighten me on this):

    VPCSB1D7E
    VPCSB1V9E/B
    VPCSB1B7E
    VPCSB1C5E
    VPCSB1A9E/B
    VPCSA1A7E
    VPCSB1A7E
    VPCSA1B7E
    VPCSB1X9E/B
    VPCSB1C7E
    VPCCA1S1R/G
    VPCSB1B9E/B
    VPCSB1H7E
    VPCSB1X9E/S
    VPCSB1Z9E/B

Not sure if it allowed but I am happy to pay for this as well if anybody is able to send a USB or these disks! Or point me in the right direction.

Hope to start posting a lot more here as I have quite a few laptops, a few VAIO's, Lenovo's, HP etc. you could call me a collector.

    Thanks in advance,

    Regards, Max.

VPCSB1X9E appears to be a european model.

Sony UK instructions for ordering recovery disks.
    https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/laptop-pc-vpc-series/vpcsb1x9e/articles/00115105

    That says to order from
    https://uk.eetgroup.com/Guides/Sony/

After finding "Search for your model here" and entering "VPCSB1X9E", it gives a list of 6 entries, the first has two links.
Clicking the first link " VPCSB1X9E/B" produces a search page.
Under "Categories" clicking "more" then "Manuals/Tools/Software" shows 13 "Recovery Packs" for various countries.
To the right side in "Filter the results below" entering "UK" reduces this just to 3 different UK packs. Or filter by a different country.

Strangely, different OS editions have different wait times.

Cheers, will have a go at contacting them, seems like you need to be a dealer/redistributor to buy something from them. Also saw they had batteries and thought of getting one, then I saw the price £400+ :D
