I own a 15" Sony VAIO laptop. I have been happily using the Sony VAIO stylus (pen) that I bought together with the laptop, but recently I misplaced the stylus and can not find it. It seems impossible to buy a new VAIO stylus at the present time. Can I use some other pen instead? A local electronics dealer suggested that I could try using a Wacom Bamboo stylus. As these are quite expensive, I would like to ask whether the Wacom Bamboo stylus can be used with the VAIO laptop before buying it. Thank you.

I think you need to provide the precise model number. I have a Vaio Duo 11, and that uses N-TRIG, so other powered N-trig compatible styluses (i.e. with a AAAA battery) works with it. Wacom would not.
