I have the A190 which has the same specs (US model) without XP pro and its a great machine..... Is a hefty thing though.....

Screen - Well, this speaks for itself, although there are some rivals out there now, Sony still seems to come back with slightly better reports. WUXGA resolution may take some getting used too if you are not used to UXGA screens.

Design - You've seen it. Its sleek & Sexy. (and no I don't get my kicks that way)

CPU - I haven't noticed too much difference from my old P4 3.06 but then I am not a power user and I don't see any difference with games.

Battery - I am averaging about 3 hours of low intensive operation

RAM - Have just invested in 1gb RAM as I do some video work and tend to multitask a lot. Shame I had to buy 2 new sticks, but that's not just a Sony thing. Shame you can't configure it in Europe.

Sound - Built in speakers not too good, certainly not as good as Toshiba, but in the US it comes with a Docking station and external speakers which make up for it.

Let me know if you want to know anything specific and I will try and help you. Also check out this link.....
