Have a question.I've been looking for days for this answer if anyone knows. How do I replace the keyboard on this a VGN-AR630E ?I know there is one screw on the bottom that attaches it.And I can see by looking at new keyboard there are 3 little brackets with holes which looks like the top of keyboard would attach to machine.I don't want to go prying and everything unless I know I am prying right area & etc.Do you pry the little area of black plastic that sits on top of keyboard ?I just don't want to break anything. These are way to expensive for that. Thanks for any future help.

    Hi samuri7!

    It is "fairly simple"

Yes, there is one long screw in the bottom. There are also 4 more screws securing the keyboard and three securing the speaker panel...

    1. Remove battery
    2. Remove the three screws under the battery, which secure the speaker panel
    3. Remove speaker panel (snap fit) and slide out towards keyboard
    4. Remove the 4 screws now visible.
    5. The ribbon cable is held by a socket. The black crossbar swings upwards. Release cable and you are good to go... :)

Hopefully I am posting in right area.I have a question about my windows button on keyboard.I upgraded to win 7 32 bit.Everything is working except windows button.Tryed to use and it stuck down, but it did spring back up.But does not work.Do you think that is keyboard problem or software ?
Was also lucky to find good sony driver for graphics card.Nvidia Geforce 2.66.58 ver.(8400 Gt )Rasised my windows expierence scoring from 4.7 to 5.1 and graphics are beautiful.Ony 2 things I havn't conquered yet is my windows button in-op and my camera ? Thanks.

Success.Keyboard is in and working fine thanks to you guys. Thanks again. Also my windows button works again.Probably dirty and sticky because I never had to use it.But I have program now I do need it on.Here I was trying to push the windows keyboard cabel in with keyboard on top and in way,(impossible)then It came to me I could flip board upside down and have all kinds of space. Thanks for the hint on the little brown bar that slides out and then tightens back up on cabel once you have it in place.

    Samuri7 :)
