    Hi,

I have a first gen CoreDuo Vaio Fe. Recently its going so freaking slow so I bought 2 sticks of 4 gigs OCZ pc2-5400 ram. I believe that the core duo only supports 2gig but I am planning on to upgrade to a new computer soon so I bought 2 sticks of 4. The problem is when I put both of the new sticks in, the computer will boot up and freeze after the windows loading screen. I thought I could put the sticks in and the computer just wouldn't recignize it. Now I only have a 2 gig stick in and it works. Just wondering if thats how it should be?? THank you very much in advance.

the core 2 duo in fe series are not santa rosa yet. Napa platform can't recognize more than 2gb of ram. Try using 2gb and 1gb too, and i think it cant work... Oh yeah, when you put 4gb of ram, what does the bios said about the memory? 4GBs of ram?
