    Hi,

I have Sony VGN-NR110E laptop, want to increase the RAM to 4GB, please suggest me good store/site to buy.

As I never did any upgrades in past, can I get any manual about to how to upgrade RAM etc?

    Thanks in advance,

Unless you have a 64-bit OS, 4GB RAM is useless. 32 bit OS doesn't recognize more than 3GB of RAM.

You can consider newegg.com, buy.com to buy RAM

    Karun,

It's quite simple acutally. There should be a compartment on the bottom of the laptop. It should be around 4in by 3in. Remove the screws and you can usually pop them out or there could be two latches that needs to be unlatched to remove the memory. Shouldn't take you more than 3-5mins, really simple.

Crucial.com is generally good as on the home page you can select your make and model number, it will then find the memory models you need.

    Hope this helps,
    John
