Does anyone have an SZ420 or a SZ440? Would you mind telling me any problems/cons about the notebook, or comment on how happy you are with it? I'm in the market for a nice, portable laptop. Thanks!

I know that one minor issue is that the internal memory card reader only reads Sony proprietary sticks and SD cards...but IMO, it's a minor issue when compared to all the many redeeming qualities of the SZ series.

If you think you may need to install XP on it, do not buy this unit. I love it running VISTA but installing XP on it is a nightmare as the Sony drivers files are locked and no XP drivers are provided for this unit even if its previous units had them with nearly identical components.

If you want XP just go with a 300 series SZ.
