    Hi,

I want to buy a VGN-SZ433N/B (cheap with fault), but before I do I would like to get some info.
From what I googled, it has the following:
    Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400
    1gb ram
    100gb HDD
    13 in.

I think it has hybrid graphics, is that right?

I think the 7400 GPU is faulty, is it possible to still use the notebook with the integrated GPU (is this a BIOS option)?

Any other info or comment very welcome :)

EDIT: Forgot to ask what specs the AC adapter has, since I will need to buy a new one.
    Thanks

Yes, it does have hybrid graphics GMA 950 and Nvdia 7400.

People have used their SZ 6-7 models in stamina mode when they had problems with the dedicated card.

These are some posts about the ac adapter.

    This SZ2 owner used a SZ6-7 adapter.
The SZ6-7 adapter is as follows-
    AC19V26 AC 100-240V, 50-60Hz and output is 19.5V, 4.7A

It is a good notebook, which I gave to my wife after buying a tt.
But beware, the fan noise is quite high on the machine. And there is the occasional touchpad reverse problem on these models.

Some have upgraded the fan to the 2nd generation one. I'm not sure when it changed, there is a trhead on here about changing it, but I now the SZ750 model has it (650 probably as well), which solves the noise problem.
