Currently I have Sony VGN-Z 591 (US version) and I have change the harddrive from 320Gb to 500Gb 7200rpm Seagate.
The seagate HD 7200rpm rockss. It give about 10-15 seconds faster bootup compare to my old HD 5400Rpm.

Soon, my brother is going to get the sony VGN-Z91 imported from Japan.

    My question is:

Is the sony Z series US version and Japan version have identical Hardware structure?
Does it means that I can replace the Harddrive the same method as I did with my Z591 (US version) ?
I heard from my friend that normally Laptop from japan will have different screw type so I can not unscrew the laptop to replace the harddrive. It is true or not true? I need a confirmation.

Anyone here have Japanese Sony Laptop?

The reason I am asking is because once my brother get his Z91 (Japan version), I am going to help him upgrade the drive to 500GB 7200RPM.

    Thank You for your opinion.

YES, YES, NO :) I believe the screws and everything else is completely same. I already exchanged HDD for SSD in my japanese Z :)
