    hi guys
    i bought sony vgnfw285d laptop 2 days ago.i uninstall some programs like recovery center,shared library and csome others like update 1more i dont remember from control panel .i found yesterday that volume low and av mode and s1 are not working.did i uninstall something wrong???how to fix it and if i make recovery disc and say i loose them and i keep recovery drive in laptop,can i make them again ???how many times can i make recover discs if i have recovery drive in laptop.

    Its Givin Me Wrror.saying It Works Only On Vista.but I Have Windows Vista On Laptop.also Can You Answer My Recovery Question Too

    I have no idea about the recovery disk part, but I think if you reinstall shared library, then install event center it should work. I do believe shared library is required.

    Shared Library is required, have the FW285J, did a clean install order is important as mentioned above by cjro9. Also check your Programs and Features (control panel) if Vaio Control Center is still there tell it to unistall then try reinstalling. (won't install with portions still there). As for your recovery discs from what I seen/read with 2 Sony laptops, it's a one time shot to burn those recovery DVDs.
