    Hey,

First post here and was wondering if anyone could help me out a jam.

I recently messed up my recovery partition and it never booted. I managed to create recovery discs using the recovery centre in windows before wiping the hard drive. I've now noticed the recovery disc fails to boot on start up and just leaves me with a blinking cursor.

These discs work when ran in windows 7 but im trying to restore the whole C: and cant becovery the disc doesnt boot. Is there anyway to manually boot this disc on start up because i believe ive corrupted the BCD/boot part of the recovery disc.

    Many Thanks,

Did you try them in another computer? Dit you set the boot priority to the CD drive?

Yeah its set to boot from CD first. The thing is when i put them in with windows 7 on the desktop the recovery centre comes up but when i choose restore it tells me to reboot then it reboots with a blinking icon for ages.

The thing is i was messing with the recovery partition before i created discs and messed up the bcd file so the recovery partition wasnt working. I know the actually restore data is intact so wondered if theres any way to manually boot it or to recovery data from the dvds to recreate the recovery partition
