I did some quick testing on full disk encryption using DiskCryptor 1.0.667.107.
It supports AES, Two-Fish and Serpent, has optimizations for SSDs and RAIDs, utilizes Core iXs AES-NI, allows for pre-boot authentication and does not require a TPM.

After the installation a password and/or keyfile is set and the volume gets encrypted on-the-fly, which took approx. 30 minutes for my 64 GB x 4 setup with write cache enabled (206 GB sized volume). After the encryption the drives had 20 minutes to do some garbage collection and performed as follows:

    Sequential read/write -6.6% +6,8%
    512k read/write -34.0% -1.4%
    4k read/write -8.2% -30.0%
    4k QD32 read/write -1.7% -4.3%

Even if you lose up to 30% in 512k read and 4k write there is no felt performance degradation. There is also the expected increased CPU usage in most situations, which will have an minor effect on battery life.

Yep, I'm using DiskCryptor as well. I did a little comparison between it and TrueCrypt in the Z Owner's thread.
